About

Despite the rain, the National Cannabis Festival attracted a sold-out crowd of more than 7,000 people to RFK Stadium in Washington, DC on April 22, 2017. The event celebrates the end of prohibition in the District as well as advocates for drug policy reform across the United States. The festival featured performances by Talib Kweli, The Pharcyde, Backyard Band, and Kenyatta Hill of Culture; speakers Dr. Jill Stein, Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, CM David Grosso; and more than 120 vendors and cannabis advocacy groups.

During the festival, NCF organizers and attendees were issued an official citation from Maryland’s General Assembly in recognition of work reforming the nation’s failed drug policies and creating alternatives to the “War on Drugs.”
